High-Density Conversational AI

Virtually all voice bots today use one of two interaction paradigms: the one-shot query (“What’s the weather in San Francisco?”) or the step-by-step form-filling approach. However, neither of them is suitable to perform many tasks commonly dealt with in web/mobile contexts such as ordering or scheduling. In this talk, I will present b4.ai’s philosophy to break the status quo through high-density conversational AI (HD AI), an extremely flexible approach to dialog that puts the user in control of the conversation while accurately tracking the progress of the conversation to ensure task completion while answering contextual queries along the way. I will highlights the many technical challenges that come with HD AI and present some of the solutions that we have developed at b4.ai.
